Terri McKendry

Terri McKendry is the Chief Executive Officer of the Animal Care Sanctuary. The Board of Directors hired McKendry to preserve the legacy of Lesley Sinclair and at the same time steward growth and guide ACS into the future. Terri joined ACS in 2018 to focus on fundraising through both grant writing and donor cultivation.

Ms. McKendry brings years of experience in nonprofit development work with a heavy focus on helping organizations find fundraising success and further their mission through comprehensive grant writing. Having worked with both small and mid-size nonprofit organizations, Terri has experience in helping build consensus, connections and shared goals between staff and board. Before landing in the nonprofit world, she worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry focusing on Project Management and Corporate transitions.

She holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Georgia State University and a BA from Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina. Terri lives in the Philadelphia suburbs with her family and beloved rescue dog, Casey.
